Apex Legend Easy Anti Cheat Bugging Out

Probably a false ban wave if it said that you were banned and code snake

thats what i just got. i hope its a false wave, damn

Same here, connection issues first, then disconnect and "code:snake" for each first match I wanna play. Really confusing.

Does "code:snake" mean that you will eventually receive a game ban, or is that just a message saying the game wont start due to X?

AFAIK "code:snake" mean we'll be banned soon. Apparently, EA is doing everything to get rid of as many players as possible.

Not the game itself, but the match. Really frustrating because all I have in Apex since S8 is a terrible connection issues like ping from 50-500ms etc. when i start the game and join the match. After that, the connection is broken, I see "code:snake", after which I can already join another match and I'm finally able to play. In addition, each map change causes strong lags for some reason.

From Reddit (posted 7d ago):

If I had to take a guess, Code: Snake is likely a catch all term for any sort of movement cheats. The issue is, of course, that some movement cheats actually happen look remarkably similar to lagging. Specifically rubber banding.

I have a feeling that this is what's going on. Either server issues or player lag is being picked up as cheating.

If that's true, EA is full of !d!оt$. Broken servers that keep lagging all the time, and that's the bottom line? Epic.

Its strange, I had it a while back and was scared to log back in. I actually hadn't cheated in APEX (as hard as that may be to believe LOL.) I logged back in today to play w/ no issues. It seems that bans are just temporary until EAC is happy and that they don't become permanent.

Maybe that's their fix for so many, "innocent" players being hit with code:snake? Just not banning anyone at all permanently until they can figure out how to make code:snake work accurately.

Has anyone here had a code:snake that's turned into a game ban?

mine was lighting service.exe error i just went to file explorer and ended task

pppp

Code:snake is a temporary ban, and are issued when people get banned/suspended for community violations like screaming at your team mates, threatening them or are just being an immature asshat in general...

From what i understand the duration of these get longer the more times you get suspended (ranging from a day, to several months).

Hmm.. Are you sure about that? Because I have a pause in playing Apex since S8, and I know how "strange" the EA rules is, especially in terms of in-game communications between players when can you get banned for two weeks by saying "that was stupid bro". So as a result, I'm now saying literally only "ty" and "gj lol", nothing more. If this "code:snake" is really something related to toxicity in-game, then obviously it doesn't work right.

Sorry for my late response. I haven't ever used a microphone in APEX. This code:snake was issued immediately when starting the game through steam, so I hadn't been able to load into a match or enter the queue. Unless EAC is scanning my system for ~cheats/software, not sure why it would give this ban to someone who hasn't even loaded into a match.
